Is the shower cam a motion detector camera and if it is not how long will the camera will continue to record on its own?
Good Question! To clarify just about all of our wireless cameras operate with a 9volt battery (2 hours) or a supplied AC Adapter (continuous power) .
The shower mirror uses 9 volt batteries, as you can imagine having a power cord in the bathtub is a bad idea! They do not record to themselves but transmit the video and audio to the receiver which you then plug into a viewing / recording source, i.e. TV, VCR, Camcorder OR Computer if you upgrade to the USB wireless computer receiver.
Furthermore, the USB receiver upgrade also allows for motion detection and continuous recording - the only limitation is the size of your computers hard drive.
